What is the GRI Certified Software and Tools Program?
The GRI Certified Software and Tools is a program for certifying software and digital tools that contain any GRI copyright protected content, such as the GRI Sustainability Reporting Framework and GRI Learning Publications.
The aim of the GRI Certified Software and Tools Program is to enable authorized use of GRI’s copyright protected content in software and tools developed by other organizations. The certification will verify that the content is correctly applied.
Who should apply for the certification?
The target group for the GRI Certified Software and Tools Program includes all types of organizations that are planning to fully or partly use the elements of the GRI Reporting Framework (mentioned below) in their tools or software.
GRI copyright protected content includes:
· Sustainability Reporting Guidelines;
· Sector Supplements;
· Learning Publications;
· Other publications.
If you have already launched software or a tool using GRI content without the permission to do so, you are urgently requested to apply for certification. The usage of GRI copyright protected content without permission is illegal.
How to apply for certification?
In order to apply for certification you are required to fill in the Application Form, available on the GRI website and e-mail it to the GRI Secretariat at CertifiedSoftware@globalreporting.org. From the moment that your application form has been received by GRI, your application process will be initiated.
Certification does not guarantee that usage of any software or tool containing GRI content will produce a GRI report.
