Airports to earn their wings by improving sustainability impacts through greater transparency

Athens, Frankfurt, and Munich Airports have joined together to call for sector specific reporting guidance for the airports industry and for the participation of other airports around the world in its development. These three European airports are taking a leadership position on addressing the major challenge of sustainability in their industry and want to work with GRI to create a new Airports Sector Supplement.

GRI is currently exploring working with airports and their stakeholders (employees, investors, NGO’s, communities, and others) to create a customized set of reporting indicators specifically for airports to use. The sector indictors will be developed in a consensus seeking process involving interested parties from all corners of the globe.

If your company is interested in the creation of an Airports Sector Supplement, contact Maaike Fleur at GRI.
