A pilot version of the specific reporting guidance for the electric utility sector is now freely available on the GRI website for companies to draw on during their sustainability reporting process. The guidance contains electric utility specific disclosures, performance indicators and commentary on the G3 Guidelines content and it is intended for organizations engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution and retail of electricity.
The content was developed using GRI’s characteristic multi stakeholder approach and involved input from a working group, equally divided between the industry and non-industry stakeholders with balanced constituency and geographic representation, a practitioner’s network, and contributors during the official public comment period.
