Coming Soon: Call for Training Organizations

Canada, Korea, Spain, Spanish Speaking America, and South Africa among other countries will feature in a second call for GRI training organizations to be released on Monday 19 November.

Earlier this year GRI launched its international certified training program to be implemented by local partners, in order to create common knowledge around the world on the sustainability reporting process and the application and use of the GRI Reporting Framework. The certified training material will guide participants to use the GRI Framework in the preparation of a sustainability report. Participants are first briefed on overall reporting strategy, then taught to use the GRI reporting principles to shape the report, and finally trained in reporting against performance indicators.

The first "call for training organizations" was for Brazil, India and the USA. 14 organizations were selected to take part in the GRI training certification process. GRI will announce on the website the certified training partners per country and region.

The training courses draw on GRI documentation and publications such as the GRI G3 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines and The GRI sustainability reporting cycle: A Handbook for small and not so small businesses which is already available in more than 6 languages.

Check the GRI website on Monday for further details.
