GRI is planning to collaborate with WRI and CDP in the near future to look at ways of improving the transparency of Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting within sustainability reports. This project aims to establish common expectations on segmentation of GHG emissions: to help organizations to keep up with the demands of a public with a more sophisticated understanding of emissions data. The segmentation of collected GHG emissions data will prove beneficial to reporters and report users alike.
