A review document compiling feedback gathered from buyers, suppliers and participating consultants during the first year of the GRI/GTZ Transparency in the supply chain project will be released at The Amsterdam Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency.
Part 1 of this valuable publication provides an introduction to the project, as well as the motivation and reasoning behind it. Part 2 is a detailed overview of the training and reporting processes of the suppliers in Chile, China, India, South Africa, Thailand and Turkey based on the 5 steps of the GRI Learning Publication “GRI Sustainability Reporting Cycle: A handbook for small and not-so-small organizations”. Part 3 covers the mid-term conference, which was attended by suppliers, buyers, consultants and project coordinators and which proved a platform to exchange ideas and experiences. Part 4 draws some tentative conclusions about supply chain sustainability reporting based on this pilot project.
Printed copies of the resource document will be available from the Learning Services booth at the conference. It will also be available for download after the conference.
