UniEthos, GRI’s certified training partner in Brazil, in collaboration with Center for Sustainability of Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGVCes) and Business and Social Development Brazil (BSD), has run the first ever GRI certified training courses this month. In total 30 participants took part in the two sessions of two days training delivered by GRI’s Brazilian partner in São Paulo during February. The main objective of the GRI certified training was to prepare participants from any organization to coordinate GRI sustainability reporting process in any organization.

GRI’s certified training program was established in 2007 to build local training capacity around the GRI Guidelines. Brazil is the first country to have certified training partners operating but in 2008 training organizations will be certified in the following countries: India; Canada; South Africa; South Korea; Spain; the USA; and all of Hispanic America.
