Your feedback wanted on the Food Processing Sector Supplement

Sample a taste of the draft indicators for the Food Processing Sector Supplement and let GRI know what you think from 14 July via an online survey. This survey will be accessible via the Food Processing Sector Supplement webpage.
 

The multi-sectoral, geographically diverse Food Processing Sector Supplement Working Group met for the third time on 16 and 17 July in Amsterdam. Using GRI’s characteristic consensus seeking approach, the group of 21 have agreed to a range of sector specific indicators and commentary to complement the G3 Guidelines. The main topics covered include food sourcing, animal welfare and health and nutrition. 

The following companies are participating in the development of these sector specific guidelines: Nestlé (Switzerland), Bunge (Brazil), Danisco (Denmark), Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (USA), General Mills (USA), Interface Trading (Senegal), Archer Daniels Midland (USA), Tyson Foods (USA), Young’s Seafood (UK) and Wilmar (Singapore).

 

The following stakeholder groups are also participating:

WWF, children advocacy (Pakistan), IUCN, IFAT (international fair trade organization), health and nutrition specialist New York University, EIRIS (Ethical Investment Research), FNV Bondgenoten (labor), IFAP (International Farmers Association), CIWF (Compassion in World Farming) and the investor Credit Agricole (France).
