Last year (in 2009) the Finnish Ministry of Employment (MEE) published a guidance document for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on how to make an activity report that encompasses sustainability ‘Yritysvastuun raportoinnin ensiaskeleet’. This small information pack is for SMEs that are just starting with reporting, and is tailored specifically for the Finnish business context.
The guidance references the G3 Guidelines as well as the general instructions of Finnish Accounting Act in guiding SMEs on how to report on their activities.
This document is only available as electronic download.
The MEE also published a more general guidance document ‘Vastuullisuuden tiennäyttäjät yrityksille’ that describes the main international guidelines and frameworks for corporate social responsibility that are available.
It explains how an organization can take part, use and benefit from using these guidelines and frameworks. The G3 Guidelines are introduced in this document as the most commonly used sustainability reporting framework in the world.
