GRI and ICMM Mining & Metals Sector Supplement progress
In February 2005, GRI published the Mining & Metals Sector Supplement (Pilot Version 1.0), which was developed through a GRI-led collaborative process between the GRI and ICMM (International Council on Mining & Metals). In light of changes in the reporting landscape (particularly the migration to the GRI G3 Guidelines which includes indicator protocols) and to incorporate practical lessons of reporting experience, GRI and ICMM decided to collaborate to progress the pilot version to a final version of the Mining & Metals Sector Supplement.
A Practitioners’ Network is being formed for those who wish to follow the work and to be available as external resources. Information, specific questions and drafts will be communicated to the Practitioners’ Network as it becomes available. If you are interested in joining the Practitioners’ Network for Mining & Metals, please send an email to guidelines@globalreporting.org with ‘Subscribe Mining & Metals’ in the subject line.
