NEW: Article on the value of bringing universities and companies together and the new restructured matchmaker  process

Click here for the article published in March 2008 by Mark A Buchanan, Professor of Law and International Business, Boise State University, and coauthors that introduces the GRI Matchmaker Program, relates university experience with the Program and provides details for participation.

About the program

The Matchmaker Program pairs Stakeholders that have prepared sustainability reports with universities that deliver feedback and reviews on the report. The matchmaking mutually enriches both the academic learning experience, particularly as to sustainability concepts and issues, while providing reporting organizations with valuable, constructive and tailored feedback on their most recent GRI-based reports.

Organizational Stakeholders:

Gain invaluable feedback on your report and reporting processes from those with specialized knowledge and academic experience. You will find a list of participating universities on the OS private page. The GRI Secretariat will put you in touch with any potential matches you identify. Successful project reports will be posted on the GRI website with the consent of both matching parties.

Universities:

This case study is an actual company. Apply your skills and knowledge, and understand the practicalities of sustainability reporting practices from a company perspective.

GRI will seek to match you with a reporting organization looking for an academic institution to work with on a review of their sustainability report.

By submitting the online registration form, your organization’s details and matching requirements will be entered to a database that is available to all GRI Organizational Stakeholders. All OS are regularly alerted to new academic registrations and encouraged to contact the GRI Secretariat to be put in touch with appropriate matches.

Please contact GRI if you have any further questions.
