GRI welcomes new OS: featuring the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund
05 December 2012

Every month GRI welcomes new Organizational Stakeholders (OS). OS are key for GRI: they contribute their expertise, play an important governance role, and invest through annual financial contributions.

This month’s featured OS is the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). The PPAF was set up in 2000, with the aim of alleviating poverty in Pakistan by providing people with access to opportunities for increased income and improved quality of life. As a private entity, the Fund’s corporate culture promotes environmental and social progress.

Mr. Qazi Azmat Isa, CEO of the Fund, explains why they decided to become an Organizational Stakeholder: “Sustainability reporting enabled us to understand our current position and to increase operational efficiency through the identification of gaps and opportunities. We decided to become an OS because GRI’s Sustainability Reporting Guidelines are the most widely and commonly used international guidelines.”

GRI also warmly welcomes the following organizations, which joined the OS Program in November 2012:

• CEAT Electronique - France
• GLOBE Group - Canada
• Junto Consulting Group, LLC - United States of America
• mRisk - Chile
• Neosys AG - Switzerland
• Studio Vasile - Italy
• Tulip Egitim ve anısmanlık Ltd.St - Turkey
