Find out why latest member, international management consulting firm, Junxion Strategy, decided to join the GRI GOLD Community.
​Junxion Strategy is an international management consulting firm that focuses on environmental sustainability and social responsibility. With offices in London, Vancouver, and New Delhi, Junxion Strategy advises corporations, social enterprises, and NGOs on how to reshape their strategy, expand their capacity, improve their impact, and accelerate their growth. On their decision to join the GRI GOLD Community, the company’s Managing Director, Adam Garfunkel, said, “It’s a way of signifying our support for what GRI stands for: greater corporate transparency on sustainability performance that allows all stakeholders to make more informed decisions.” He continued, “This has been the focus of my career, from when I was an activist, campaigning for Friends of the Earth in the early 90s and for the past 20 years working as a consultant. In my position now I see myself as a critical friend to businesses giving them the same message as when I was a campaigner: you have a responsibility to account for your performance to all your stakeholders, to demonstrate the steps you are taking. If you do so, you’ll be a better, more resilient business. GRI has been leading that agenda with its Sustainability Reporting Standards, so we are aligned!” 

Further determining factors which encouraged Junxion Strategy to join the GRI GOLD Community include gaining access to GRI’s global network of leaders and experts in the field of sustainability, as well as to different programs, such as the GRI GOLD Roundtables, Corporate Leadership Groups, and quarterly market scans. “We want to give our clients the best advice and support we can in their efforts to drive more responsible behaviors in their business,” Adam Garfunkel said. “In short, being a GRI GOLD Community member helps us achieve our mission to support entrepreneurs and ‘intrapreneurs’ who are helping make business a force for good in the world.”
