Registrations now open for Australian GRI Conference
14 December 2011
Online registration for the Australian GRI Conference on Sustainability and Integrated Reporting is now open.
This is your chance to join sustainability and reporting experts from Australia and the Asia Pacific region as they discuss increasingly pressing sustainability issues, and the growing need for effective reporting to address them. Actors such as stock exchanges, governments and corporations are fast recognizing the value of including sustainability strategies in their business practices. As such, sustainability reporting is gaining prominence in the board rooms of many organizations who understand the important role it plays in the transition to a sustainable global economy.

Key topics of discussion at the conference will be the development of GRI’s next generation of sustainability reporting Guidelines, G4 and the evolving discipline of integrated reporting. In keeping with the theme of the conference Innovate – Integrate – Collaborate, GRI aims to inform new thinking on integrated reporting and G4.

The Australian GRI Conference on Sustainability and Integrated Reporting expects to attract 300 executives, directors and senior managers in sustainability, accounting, finance, policy and public affairs, from Australia and across the Asia Pacific. In particular, the conference will focus on the needs of report writers and users of sustainability information, as well as those interested in understanding how sustainability information can be used in corporate strategy and risk management.

The two-day conference will include both plenary and parallel sessions, including a mix of keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshops. Confirmed speakers include Professor Mervyn King - Chairman of the IIRC, The Honorary David Bradbury MP - Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury and Mr. Ernst Ligteringen – GRI’s Chief Executive.

The conference will run from 26-28 March 2012 in Melbourne, Australia. The registration brochure, including the program is now available for download here.
