Rural reporting reaps results

GRI has joined Garrotxa Lider and ADRINOC to coach small and medium enterprises in rural Spain through their first sustainability reporting process. The first reports from participants are now available – with many more on the way.
The project

Small and Medium Enterprises in rural areas are pivotal in the development of the Spanish economy and society. The Sustainable Rural Management project (Gestió Sostenible Rural) aims to enhance the social, environmental and economic performance of small companies in three Spanish regions: Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Aragon.

This project is led by Garrotxa Lider & ADRINOC, and funded by the Ministry of Environmental, Rural and Marine Affairs of Spain (Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, Medio Rural y Marino del gobierno de España). To learn more about the Sustainable Rural Management project, watch the video (in Spanish and English), and read the Garrotxa Lider Interview.

GRI has joined this effort by supporting the training and coaching of 100 rural enterprises as part of the project. Read more about the small business in rural Spain that completed their first reports in GRI's Newsletter article 'Small business, sustainability reporting: It can be done'.
