To help beginning or early-stage report preparers, GRI is making available a capacity building service to coach report preparers.

 Methodology

 
Together with a dedicated expert from GRI, and using customized material, a reporting organization will:

  • Assess existing initiatives, sustainability reporting efforts and stakeholder engagement
  • Become familiar with the main activities in the reporting process
  • Start building its first GRI report referencing the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards (GRI Standards) or using the GRI Standards -in accordance. 

The Kick-off service entails:
  • Conference call(s) with the reporting organization, 
  • Handholding the organization in defining the main steps of the reporting process, 
  • A half-day workshop on the GRI Standards and the reporting process 
  • Support for the GRI-Referenced report, if applicable, and
  • Additional support, tailored to the organization's needs


 

 How to apply

 
For more information and to apply for the Kick-off Service, please contact GRI at: reportservices@globalreporting.org

Reporting organizations will receive a sign-up form and will have to sign a service level agreement with GRI that details the terms and conditions for the Kick-off Service. GRI Services will also ask the reporting organization to provide some information on existing initiatives, sustainability reporting efforts and stakeholder engagement. 

As this is an elaborate service, a minimum of 1 month is required to complete the service, from the moment of application.

 

 Service Fees

 
The fee for the Kick-off service is €18,000 excluding VAT. 

For the Kick-off Service, the organization is required to cover travel and accommodation fees for the GRI facilitator(s). 

GRI Community members may be entitled to GRI Community members’ credits towards GRI products. Please check GRI's Pricing Policy for more information.

GRI’s services are not an external assurance engagement, although are complementary. GRI does not carry any legal responsibility for the implementation of the feedback by the organization. The GSSB is an independent operating entity under the auspices of GRI and has sole responsibility for setting globally accepted standards for sustainability reporting and as such has no involvement with the delivery of GRI Services.
