‘Employee’/‘worker’ terminology project

The ‘Employee’/‘worker’ project reviewed the use of terms related to ‘employee’ and ‘worker’ in the GRI Standards. The project aimed to make the use of these terms consistent throughout the Standards. It also aimed to align their use with key references including ILO Conventions, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the ISO 26000 standard on social responsibility. The scope of the work was limited to the review of all instances of the use of 'worker', 'employee', and any synonyms or related terms (e.g., 'young worker').
