DUE PROCESS AND DEVELOPMENT

Our development of the Sustainability Reporting Standards follows robust due process; we applied the same rigor when developing earlier GRI Guidelines.

 THE DUE PROCESS PROTOCOL

The Global Sustainabilty Standards Board (GSSB) develops and issues the Sustainability Reporting Standards.

The independent Due Process Oversight Committee (DPOC) has primary responsibility for ensuring that the standard-setting activities of the GSSB are conducted in accordance with its due process.

This due process is set out in the Due Process Protocol

DUE PROCESS FOR EARLIER GRI GUIDELINES

Until the creation of the GSSB, our Guidelines and Sector Supplements were known collectively as the GRI Sustainability Reporting Framework.

You can read about our earlier commitment to due process set out in the Due Process for the Sustainability Reporting Framework.

You can read more details about how the G4 Guidelines were developed here.
