Registration

GRI is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. By signing up for this event you are agreeing to receive further information related to the event, including, but not limited to, any updates about the event or feedback surveys after the event takes place. We will not contact you for any other purposes without your consent. Of course, you can update your email communication preferences or unsubscribe from future emails at any point. GRI’s general privacy policy is available here.

Cancellation of event registration

Should you need to cancel your registration for the event, a written notification must be sent by email to events@globalreporting.org. The following refund conditions apply: 

• In case of cancellation before or on 19 December 2018, the registration fees less an administration fee of 10% will be refunded.

• In case of cancellation from 20 December 2018 to 21 January 2019, the registration fees less an administration fee of 50% will be refunded.

• As of 22 January 2019, the registration fees will not be refunded.

Photographs and videos

GRI reserves the right to photograph and film the event and its participants. GRI may decide to use the photographs or video recordings in external communications referring to the event or GRI, such as on its websites, GRI’s social media channels, or other publications. GRI will select photographs and video recordings for external communications that feature you only if you have given consent during the registration process.

Insurance and liability disclaimer

GRI cannot be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any property, whatever the cause may be. Liability of persons and enterprises providing means of transportation or other services, however, remains unaffected. It is recommended that participants obtain adequate cover for travel, health and accident insurance before coming to the event. GRI cannot accept responsibility for personal injuries, or loss of, or damage to, private property belonging to the event participants and accompanying persons.

Should, for any reason outside GRI’s control (including but not limited to acts of terrorism, extreme weather conditions and/or industrial action) the venue or speakers change, or the event be cancelled, GRI will endeavor to re-schedule, but shall not be held responsible for any costs, damages or expenses incurred by registrants. If for any reason GRI decides to make material changes to this event, it is not responsible for airfares, hotels or other costs incurred by registrants. The registrant takes part in the event at his/her own risk. Furthermore, GRI may not be held liable for any costs or damages incurred resulting from acts outside of its control including but not limited to force majeure, strikes and/or public manifestations. Only written arrangements are binding. Registration of a participant entails acceptance of these conditions.

In any disputes that may arise concerning the execution or interpretation of the present terms and conditions related to the event registration, both parties agree that they will be subject to Dutch law and that the commercial courts of Amsterdam will be competent, without prejudice to GRI’s right to initiate proceedings under the laws and before the courts of the participant’s registered office in the event any sums are due by the participant to GRI.
