GRI Local Networks bring together communities of reporters and other core supporters in areas where there is an active GRI reporting community.
GRI Local Networks create a platform for dialogue, mutual support, and knowledge sharing on sustainability reporting and sustainability in general. GRI Local Networks are administered locally by an Organizational Stakeholder, in alignment with GRI. There are several annual meetings organized to enable peer-to-peer learning and access to the latest developments in the field of sustainability reporting.
Launched in June 2011, the Nordic Network is the pilot program of the GRI Local Network. If your organization from Denmark, Finland, Norway or Sweden is interested in joining, please let us know. To find out more, please click here.
From Denmark’s pioneering reporting legislation in 2001 to Sweden’s core funding of GRI activity, the Nordic region has spearheaded advancements in organizational reporting, driving transparent and accountable business practice.
Engagement and interaction are more important than ever to build on this momentum. Through joining the Nordic Network, regional organizations can be seen to continue to lead the field. By working and benefitting together, GRI’s Nordic Network can increase the uptake and quality of sustainability reporting –for a sustainable Nordic region and a brighter global future.
