Updates to GRI’s Professional Certification Program
An enhanced and restructured version of the flagship professional training curriculum available through GRI has been launched, reflecting the latest global trends in sustainability reporting.
The GRI Professional Certification Program offers continuous development and upskilling for learners around the world on how to implement the GRI Standards and effectively utilize sustainability reporting data. It provides a route to an accredited and trusted qualification in sustainability reporting that can be renewed annually.
The revised program structure introduces the courses Transparency for Tomorrow: Decoding the Sustainability Reporting Landscape, and Navigating the GRI Sector Standards.
As the world of sustainability reporting continues to evolve, GRI is committed to equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills to lead with confidence. The relaunch of our Professional Certification Program is designed to support learners in deepening their expertise and advancing their careers through training that represents the state-of-the-art in sustainability reporting.
Paul Broekhof, Director GRI EducationTo cater to the needs of different types of learners, the program has two flexible routes to choose from:
- Route A: Online self-paced learning, hosted on the GRI Academy – the world’s leading education portal for sustainability reporting.
- Route B: Customized and locally tailored training in a peer-to-peer environment delivered through GRI Certified Training Partners – a global network of more than one hundred organizations in 50+ countries.
The restructuring of the program does not affect professionals with an active certification, and those already enrolled can continue on their current path to certification, including the related exam.
